OBO Bettermann takes over REHAU's cable routing systems division

Menden. OBO Bettermann, manufacturer of electrical and building installation technology, is taking over the Cable Management division of the REHAU Group from 1 February 2020. The Federal Cartel Office has already approved the agreement. The anti-trust examination was necessary in view of OBO Bettermann's market relevance.

For the family-owned company OBO Bettermann, one of the leading manufacturers of installation systems for the electrotechnical equipment of buildings and systems, the purchase, including the production facilities, means the sustainable expansion of the important product unit cable routing systems.

"With this acquisition, we are expanding our product range, especially in important international growth markets. OBO is thereby strengthening its core competence and market significance", says company boss Ulrich Bettermann. Both sides have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
