Step-protected with the BKRS walkable cable tray systems from OBO

In the hard everyday industrial environment, materials must be able to withstand all kinds of loads. This also applies to electrical installations. Powerful protection against footfall, dust and many other loads is essential for reliably supplying the systems with power and data.

For these requirements, OBO Bettermann offers its walkable BKRS cable tray system. The walkable cable trays ensure safety in electrical installations and offer protection to workers in the industry. The new system components ensure that this is even more successful. The cover, cable tray and barrier strips have a continuous material thickness of 2 mm and are highly mechanically stable as a composite. Depending on the installation type, they guarantee a traffic load of at least 350 kg according to EN 50085-2-2.

The chequer plate cover with newly developed chequer plate arrangement therefore ensures stability through optimum slip protection of class R11 according to DIN 51130, minimising the risk of accidents in daily use. Thanks to the V10 displacement space class, it is possible to walk safely on them, even in cases of serious contamination, such as with oils or greases.

As an alternative to the turn buckle, the new chequer plate cover can now also be mounted with a cover clamp. The matching cover lifter can be used for simple dismantling and can also be used as a drilling template for connector perforations.

The screwless integration into the functional equipotential bonding is now possible with the KFL clamp spring and AKL connection terminal. The clamping spring is simply clamped onto the cable tray rail and guides the conductor rope along the cable tray. The connection clamp can be used to form any number of exits and branches.

This means that the walkable cable tray system offers complete protection for cables, reliably avoiding the ingress of dirt and providing protection against mechanical and electromagnetic loads.
