The oldest tennis duo in the world

At OBO, we are all about sports sponsoring and are actively committed to tennis, riding and football, as an example. We are especially pleased to be able to support the oldest tennis duo in the world: Dietrich Elsner and Egon Kraft have a combined age of 191 and have been hitting the court together since 1977 – most recently with the OBO logo adorning their tracksuits.
As the oldest competitive tennis doubles partnership in the world, these tennis oldies from TV Rhade have made their way into the Guinness Book of World Records. Their certificates arrived just in time for Dietrich Elsner’s 100th birthday at the end of November.
On the court together since 1977
The year 1977 was not only the year TV Rhade was established, but also the year Dietrich Elsner and Egon Kraft met for the first time. They became a seasoned pair, competing together in numerous team and local championship matches. Today, they still practice together twice a week, and they’ve got no plans to quit anytime soon. We wish them both many successful matches together to come!
