SWR media centre Baden-Baden

Project description

A new media centre is being built in Baden-Baden for the Southwest German Broadcasting Corporation (SWR). This expands the campus-like building structure at the Baden-Baden site to meet the demands of digital change in the future.

General building information

The new building now connects the online, radio, and broadcasting editorial departments across areas. In addition to the work environments for around 330 editorial teams, the new building also includes conference and event areas, a cafeteria and a large central entrance forum. The building consists of four interconnected sections, called Pavilion 1 to 4, with a total gross floor area of 15,700 square meters. The new building connects the existing buildings with two new connecting bridges.

Why did the customer choose OBO products?

Found on the walls and ceilings of all floors: OBO products from the areas of cable support systems as well as connection and fastening systems. The following OBO solutions have been installed here:

The Southwestern Broadcasting Corporation chose OBO due to the high quality of the materials and the large product range. Technical support and the installation on time was another reason for their decision. The high density of regional warehouses allowed OBO to guarantee a reliable delivery.

What type of challenges occurred during construction?

In this project, a special challenge was that the installation of the cable support systems mostly was carried out in the visible area. This required very clean and precise installation as well as a large variety of special components.
