Where do trainees have the possibility of running their own company during their own training? At OBO. The trainee company OBO Styles was founded in 2006 with the motto “A different kind of training”. At OBO, commercial and industrial trainees plan and organise processes together, meaning that they can take responsibility for their own company. The products they develop are then sold within the company. The concept also convinced the jury of “Innovationspreis Sauerland”, for which OBO Styles was awarded a prize for “innovative corporate concepts in the field of training and further training” in 2008. Through OBO Styles, the trainees find out what is really behind a product. From the basic idea, through production, and on to marketing – they take full responsibility.
